Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also head of the Center for Public Policy Research. She has been widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in the legal setting. Professor Goodman, who has many papers and grants to her name and is the recipient of a variety of international and national prizes. She consults with numerous nations and organizations around the world regarding policies as well as the study of children's victimization within the court system. She also serves as a consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of several professional associations which include that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She was a founder member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the America Psychological Association's divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
